Im heutigen Blogpost erzähle ich Euch ein wenig über mich. Einige von Euch kennen mich schon lange, andere wieder nicht. Eigentlich wollte ich auf unserem Blog viel über Mode und Reisen erzählen, denn ich bin eher nicht der Typ Mensch, der viel über sich Preis gibt. Privates soll auch privat bleiben.
In today’s blog post I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. Some of you have known me for a while, others might not. Actually, I wanted to talk about fashion and travels, rather than about more personal stuff, that’s not like me at all. Personal things should remain personal.
Aber nun finde ich, ist es an der Zeit Euch ein wenig über die Person hinter den Bildern zu erzählen.
But I think the time has come to tell you a little more about the person behind all the pictures.
Ich interessiere mich schon sehr lange für Mode und alles was damit zu tun hat. Ich bin keine Fashionista und muss auch nicht jeden Trend mitmachen, das interessiert mich nicht. Gerne trage ich klassische Hosenanzüge und Jeans in Kombination mit eleganten Seidenblusen oder Kaschmirpullis. Das gefällt mir, das bin ich.
I have been interested in fashion for a long time, actually everything that goes along with fashion. I am no Fashionista and I don’t follow every trend, I don’t care about that. I really like classic trouser suits and jeans in combination with elegant silk blouses or cashmere sweaters. That is what I like, that is who I am.
Für mich ist der Blog eine Auszeit vom stressigen Alltag und meinem Beruf. Ich liebe Modeblogs mit schönen Bildern und guten Tipps. Der Beautybereich ist nicht meine Welt und ich schminke mich auch sehr wenig. Ein wenig Make-Up, Lidschatten und ein schöner Lippenstift – fertig.
For me, the blog is like a little time away from every day life and my job. I love fashion blogs with lovely pictures and great tips. Beauty is not really my thing and I don’t actually wear that much make up at all. Tiny bit of make up, eye shadow and a lovely lipstick – done.
Ich bin seit 30 Jahren glücklich verheiratet und habe zwei Söhne. Im nächsten Jahr heiratet mein älterer Sohn und ich würde mich freuen, bald Oma zu werden. Meine zukünftige Schwiegertochter ist für unsere kleine Familie eine große Bereicherung. Mein Mann und ich wohnen in einem schönen Haus in Niederösterreich mit Garten und Schwimmteich.
I have been married for 30 years and we have two sons. Next year the older one is getting married himself and I would love to become a grandma soon. My future daughter-in-law is a true enrichment for our little family. My husband and I live in a nice house in Lower Austria with a garden and a little swimming pond
Ich wurde im Alter von drei Monaten von den allerliebsten Eltern, die man sich nur vorstellen kann, adoptiert. Zu meiner leiblichen Mutter habe ich fast keinen Kontakt.
I was adopted at the age of three months from the most amazing parents you could ever imagine. I don’t really stay in touch with my biological mother.
Städtereisen und Kreuzfahrten sind meine große Leidenschaft, neben dem Interesse für Mode. An den Wochenenden gehe ich gerne Wandern und Laufen. Sport ist für mich sehr wichtig, da ich leider immer mit meinem Gewicht zu kämpfen habe. Ein ewiges Auf und Ab.
My big passion are city trips and cruises, besides my love for fashion. On weekends I like to go on a hike or jogging. Workouts are really important to me, since I have a little trouble with my weight. It’s a constant up and down.
Schon als Kind war ich Leistungssportlerin. Ich war viele Jahre bei zwei Vereinen Eiskunstläuferin, hatte dadurch fast keine Kindheit und nur wenig Freunde. Ich stand täglich am Eislaufplatz und an den Wochenenden waren immer Wettbewerbe. Mit 17 war dann Schluss. Ich konnte und wollte nicht mehr, zum Bedauern meiner Eltern, die mich jahrelang gefördert haben.
I was a competitive athlete when I was young. For many years I was a figure skater, because of that, I had almost no childhood and only a handful friends. I was on the rink almost every day and there were competitions on weekends. I quit when I was about 17. I was done with it, which didn’t make my parents very happy, who had been supporting me this whole time.
Jetzt komme ich zu meinen schlechten Angewohnheiten. Ich bin sehr kritisch und eigensinnig, wenn etwas nicht so läuft, wie ich es gerne hätte, bin ich eine zeitlang nicht gut ansprechbar. Gott sei Dank habe ich einen lieben Mann, der einiges ertragen muss.
Now let’s get to my bad habits. I’m a rather skeptical and stubborn person, if something doesn’t go the way I want it to, I tend to be a little angry for a while. Thank god I have a lovely husband who has to put up with quite a bit.
Ich habe nur einen kleinen Freundeskreis, was mich aber nicht stört. Familie ist mir das Allerwichtigste und dazu gehört auch schon seit vielen Jahre die liebe Alexandra, mit der ich den Blog führe. I only have a couple of friends, which I don’t mind. Family is really important for me and the lovely Alexandra, with whom I write this blog, has been part of it for many years.
