Wir mussten die sommerlichen Tage noch ausnutzen und haben uns kurzfristig entschlossen, ein Picknick im Grünen zu machen. Die große Wiese grenzt an unser Grundstück und so mussten wir auch nicht weit gehen. Der eigentliche Grund ist aber, dass wir noch ein paar tolle Fotos knipsen wollten, denn wer weiß wie lange es noch so wunderbar warm ist.
Wir sind in der glücklichen Lage auf einem schönen Fleckchen Erde zu wohnen. Wald und Wiese vor der Nase, einfach traumhaft. Wenn man Glück hat, kommen sogar die Rehe bis vor unsere Haustüre, besonders lieb sind junge Rehe, die uns mit ihren Eltern regelmäßig besuchen.
We had to use the summerly days and decided to have a picknick. The big meadow is just next to our house and so we didn’t have to go very far. The actual reason though, is that we wanted to take a couple of nice pictures as long as summer is still around.
We are lucky to be living in a beautiful part of the world. Woods, meadows all around us, lovely. If you’re lucky you can watch deer right from our front porch, I really like the young ones, who keep visiting us with their parents.
Für unser Picknick habe ich mich für ein lässiges Outfit entschieden.
Besonders an heißen Tagen liebe ich es, Leinen oder Seide zu tragen. Aus diesem Grund habe ich zu einer weißen Leinenhose gegriffen. Ich muss sagen, die Hose war ein wirklich guter Kauf, in diesem heißen Sommer für mich die beste Wahl.
Dazu kombiniert habe ich eine wunderschöne Tunika mit maritimen Applikationen. Das hübsche Oberteil habe ich mir vergangenen Sommer in Berlin bei & Other Stories im Sale gekauft. Obwohl ich eher schlichte Teile bevorzuge, gefiel mir die etwas ausgefallene Tunika besonders gut.
For our picknick I went with a casual outfit.
I love to wear silk or linen on hot days. That’s why I chose a white pair of linen trousers. I have to say, those were a good buy, the best choice for me during these hot summer days.
I combined them with a wonderful tunika with maritime applications. I bought the pretty top last summer at & Other Stories in Berlin during a sale. Even though I normally prefer more discreet pieces, I really liked this one a lot.
Der Hut ist von H&M und schon etwas mitgenommen, aber ich darf mein Gesicht nicht der Sonne aussetzen und so begleitet er mich auf vielen Reisen.
Dazu schlichte Ballerinas von Porselli und natürlich eine Sonnenbrille.
The hat came from H&M and has seen better days, but I can’t let the sun hit my face too much and so I bring it along on my journeys.
I also added discreet ballerinas by Porselli and of course a pair of sunglasses.
So und dann habe ich mir eine Tasche gekauft, die eigentlich so gar nicht meinem Beute(l)schema entspricht. Ich habe von der lieben Alexandra schon eine ordentliche Rüge bekommen, denn meine Tasche ist aus Kunststoff! Ich habe all meine O Bags verkauft, genau aus diesem Grund und jetzt habe ich mir wieder ein Plastikteil gekauft. Aber an dieser Stelle muss ich jetzt noch etwas weiter ausholen. All die jenigen unter Euch, die in meinem Alter sind, können sich bestimmt noch an die bunten Plastikschuhe, die es dazu mal in allen Farben gab, erinnern. Man trug sie am Strand, aber auch in der Stadt. Jetzt wurden sie aus dem Dornröschenschlaf geweckt und man kann sie wieder kaufen. Die Schuhe waren nie so mein Ding, aber die bunten Taschen schon und so habe ich mir eine rosa Strandtasche im Vintage Style von Sun Jellies gekauft.

Right. And then I bought a bag, which is not quite something I would usually bag. I already made Alexandra a little mad because my bag is made out of plastic! I sold all my O Bags because of this and now I bought another synthetic bag. Let me explain. All of you who are roughly my age might remember the colourful plastic shoes which were available in all kinds of colours. You would wear them at the beach or sometimes even in the city. Well, they were recently brought back to life again. The shoes were never really my thing but the colourful bags were and so I went for a pink beach bag in vintage style by Sun Jellies.
