Rosafolia-Kerze von DIPTYQUE Paris

Es durfte eine Neue in mein Office einziehen. Die Rede ist nicht von einer neuen Mitarbeiterin, sondern von einer herrlichen Kerze.

Darf ich Euch vorstellen: Die Neue von Diptyque Paris: Rosafolia!

Ich sah sie und es war um mich geschehen, ich musste sie einfach haben. Nur wenn ich Euch jetzt erzähle, was ich mitgemacht habe, um diesen Duftschatz in meinen Händen zu halten…

I got a new friend at my office. Not a new co-worker, no, I’m talking about a lovely candle!

May I introduce, the new one by Diptyque Paris: Rosafolia!

When I saw it, I could no longer resist, I had to have it. Let me tell you though, the trouble I had to go through to get this lovely scented candle …

Ich habe mir die Rosafolia online direkt bei Diptyque Paris bestellt. Alles war super easy und ich freute mich natürlich schon sehr auf diesen Schatz. Vier Tage später war die Kerze da. Besser gesagt die Kerze war nicht da, sondern nur die Verpackung und sonst nichts. Ich glaubte meinen Augen nicht zu trauen, es war wie im falschen Film.

I ordered Rosafolia online at Diptyque Paris. Everything worked out beautifully and I was looking forward to holding this beauty in my hands. Four days later, it arrived. Well, the container was there, the candle wasn’t! I couldn’t believe my eyes, I felt like I was in a bad movie.

Sofort kontaktierte ich den Botendienst, welcher für die Zustellung zuständig war. Eine sehr nette Dame informierte sofort den Fahrer und dieser bestätigte, dass die Kerze nicht aus der Verpackung gefallen war, denn dies war meine erste Annahme. Anscheinend hat meine Kerze Paris gar nicht erst verlassen.

Immediately I contacted the delivery service responsible for the delivery. A very nice lady informed the driver who told her that the candle had not fallen out of the container, which was what I had thought. It looked like my candle had not even left Paris.

Ok, das war wohl nichts. Mein Freude schwand von einer Minute auf die andere. Es blieb mir nun nichts Anderes mehr über, als direkt bei Diptyque Paris anzurufen.

Nun wurde es spannend… Diptyque erklärte mir, dass die Kerze natürlich ihr Haus verlassen hatte. Ok, ich musste ihr glauben… Aufgrund der wirklich schlechten Verpackung – der Karton konnte von Jedermann geöffnet werden – dürfte die Rosafolia gestohlen worden sein oder was auch immer. Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn – sie entschuldigte sich tausend Mal und ich musste ihr ein Foto der Verpackung schicken. Nun gut, etwas umständlich, aber bei dem was ich schon mitgemacht habe, nahm ich das auch in Kauf!

Ok, that was a strike! My excitement got less and less by the minute and the only thing left for me to do was to call Diptyque Paris.

Now things got a little more interesting. Diptyque explained, the candle definitely left their house. Fine, nothing I could say against that. It seemed as if, because of the very bad packaging – anybody could have opened the carton with ease – Rosafolia had been stolen. Long story short, they apologised a hundred times and asked me to send them a picture of the package. Well, not the easiest way to go about this, but since I had been through so much trouble already, I didn’t mind.

Nach etwa einer Woche kam dann endlich meine Kerze in einer tollen Verpackung mit vielen, vielen Proben, einer zusätzlichen Diptyque Kerze und einem lieben, handgeschriebenen Brief bei mir an. Ich war so erleichtert!

After about a week I finally had my candle. It arrived in a beautiful box with lots of little testers, an additional Diptyque candle and a lovely handwritten letter. I was so relieved!

Nun ist die Rosafolia in meinem Büro eingezogen und duftet wunderbar.

Now Rosafolia has taken its place in my office and it smells lovely!
